Sex Revolution

Peoples change in perspective of sex from the 1950's-1960's. (:

"It's 1952. Nobody talks about sex," he said looking at me through azure eyes.

I fiddled with the hem of my dress. "But everbody does it," I replied. He nodded.

"It's a natural thing, everyone shouldn't be so uptight about it," I added. He laughed. "You really looked into this, haven't you, Sofie?"

I looked at him. "Yeah, well...I had a swell time, Jimmy." He smiled. "See ya," he said giving me a quick peck on the cheek.

YEARS LATER....

"It's 1964. I would be surprised if they DIDN'T have sex." I giggled. "Sure, I know. It's like the 'sex revolution.' Nudity is as natural as breathing now," I said caressing my exaggeratedly long hair.

I hadn't had a trim in...well, I can't really remember the last time I got a hair trim.

We were called "Hippies." But that didn't matter. It didn't matter what they called us.

I looked down. We were sitting on my backyard grass, bare-footed. The grass felt nice against our bare feet. He smiled, nodding in agreement to what I had just said.

I yawned. "Did you hear about the new magazine, the nuddy one? This guy, Hugh Hefner, he's the creator," he said.

I looked deep inside my memory.

"Uhmm, yeah sure. I heard my mom talking about it in the kitchen this morning. She's so uptight about it. But my father in the other hand, well I bet he quite enjoys it," I said with a laugh.

His green eyes connected with mine. "Yeah, it's called Playboy or something."

"I mean, it's not like we've never seen a naked body before," I said. He chuckled. "Yeah, definitely not."

I rested my back against the grass, viewing the soft blue sky.

"Heller." "Yeah, Sofie?"

"Mmm, what do you think about abortion?" I asked, resting on my side, placing a hand on cheek to keep my face up. He rolled his eyes.

"I usually have strong opinions and what not, but I'm just neutral on this one. They just repeat the same subject so much. 'Abortion is a womens' civil right,' 'abortion is the murder of a human being.'

Society should just quit their yappin and take their foot out of everyones business," he said.

"Totally." I rested my back against the grass.

"Totally..."
