Hydroxycut In The UK

Hydroxycut In The UK

All about Hydroxycut, the fat burner that had to change its key ingredient after the removal of a now banned substance.

The producers of Hydroxycut use the tagline America's best selling diet pill in virtually all of its advertising campaigns - online, in magazine publications and on television. It is funny how nearly every diet pill that is available to buy without prescription uses phrases like worlds best or America finest in some form or another to gain consumer interest.

The one undenibale fact is that they certianly have the budget available for a consistant and professional marketing campaign.

Sex, football, and algebra?

Sex, football, and algebra?

Three topics that rarely intertwine will do so in this highly-competitive, highly-unpredictable year in college football. Here's a look at the jealous lovers, tempting seductresses, and the math equation that make up the world of college football.

By David Shaw Sports Central Columnist

Let's say that you and your significant other are out on the town. For our purposes, you are a man and you have brought flowers, chocolates, and maybe a small domesticated animal. The date moves to a fancy restaurant complete with dusty, old, expensive bottles of wine, and even dustier and older waiters.

Things progress, you make a witty remark, she laughs out of habit than anything else. Then, you come to that fateful moment, you and her outside her door, you lean in ... only to see her reach for her calculator. Twenty minutes later, she tells you your score and leaves you frustrated and alone on her doorstep. Welcome to the world of college football and the math equation that governs it, the BCS.

Marketing Zyprexa

Marketing Zyprexa

A report on the business newswire Bloomberg could have implications for a class action lawsuit approved a month ago by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

According to court documents filed in a suit brought by the state of Alaska, Bloomberg says, the drug company "Eli Lilly & Co. trained its sales force to downplay risks for Zyprexa and encourage doctors to prescribe the drug beyond approved uses for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder."

The story says Lily's own research found that "some patients on Zyprexa gained as much as 80 pounds and that the incidence of high blood sugar at diabetes levels was 3.5 times higher than for placebos."

Day One: Health 3.0

Day One: Health 3.0

Day One.

The Health Care Globalization Summit opens later today, so let me set the stage a little more.

Today focuses on something called "Health 3.0," which is Web-based health care. The idea is to use the Internet to get patients thinking more like consumers -- shopping around for the doctors and treatment they want, rather than relying on their family doctor to be the source of all such information.

There's an obvious attraction to this -- who hasn't been frustrated by a doctor or clinic before? If you have, giving patients some choice and power can start too look attractive.

Day One: Health 3.0

But there's obvious downsides, too. Doctors have been to medical school, after all, and no amount of Web surfing by a patient can replace that.

Adult Asthma (Adult-onset Asthma)

Adult Asthma (Adult-onset Asthma)

Adult-onset asthma refers to a condition where asthma sets in for the first time in someone who is middle-age or older. Breathlessness, wheezing and a productive cough are the symptoms of adult asthma.

Asthma is a long-term lung disease. A person suffering from asthma has airways that are narrow and the lining of which is persistently inflamed. Patients usually experience recurring periods of wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), chest tightness, shortness of breath and coughing. For most patients, the coughing occurs at night or early in the morning.

Most people think of asthma as a childhood disease, because it usually starts starts sometime during childhood. However, it affects people of all ages. When asthma is diagnosed in people older than 20 years of age, it is known as adult-onset asthma. In contrast to childhood asthma, adult-onset asthma is more persistent and permanent. Often, constant medication is required to help keep adult-onset asthma under control. In the United States, out of the over 22 million people known to have asthma, 16 million are adults.
